In July 2010, Kiesler Wellness Center (the clubhouse-based program for Northland Counseling Center in Itasca County, MN), instituted the Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) Program, a unique and revolutionary approach to providing mental health support. The PSS works as a member of the Northland Counseling Center’s Community Support Program (CPS) team to help program participants, referred to as peers, make progress on their identified recovery goals.

Today, we are an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need.
7 Cups is a website which provides online therapy and free support to people experiencing emotional distress by connecting them with trained listeners. The listener, trained in active listening, interacts with the person seeking help via an anonymous and confidential chat.

TelaPeer is a video chat app that allows people to join support conversations hosted by Peer Support Specialists, or start their own peer support groups. Every user can Browse, Join or Create a Peer Support conversation, anytime, anywhere, from any device.
